Major construction has begun on a section of Richmond Street West as crews work to replace a 143-year-old watermain.
The work is scheduled to be done in two phases, the first of which started at 7 a.m. on Monday and continues until December.
Richmond Street will be reduced to one shared lane of vehicle and cycle traffic between Spadina Avenue and Bathurst Street.
The second phase will start in December and continue until the summer of 2020.
Work will take place between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. Monday to Friday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.
